Think of Parkrun\, 9am\, 3 miles (ish) with your poles! \nThis brand new Saturday adventure is at the beautiful Thoresby Park! \nThoresby Park is a beautiful estate with a magnificent Hall\, a river\, deer park\, wonderful woodland and a variety of wildlife to spot.  The terrain is mostly firm and even\, however through the woods the ground is a bit more bumpy. \nThis week our Walk Leader Elaine will be your guide. \n  \nDistance: 3-4 miles \n  \nLATE CANCELLATION POLICY: Sherwood Nordic Walking has a late cancellation policy whereby we require 24 hours’ notice for cancelling a walk. DESCRIPTION:We begin Session 3 with a recap of steps 1-6 covered over the past 2 weeks before progressing onto steps 6-10 where we add speed and intensity into the technique. Using specific drills to emphasise the correct movements and posture\, we will ensure we are getting a workout from our walk. We end the session with a nordic walk\, practising the technique that we have built over the three sessions. \nYou can only book Session 3 if you have completed the Beginner’s Nordic Walking Training Session Parts 1 and 2\, or already have experience of nordic walking. \nAt the end of this session you will be ready to book onto our regular nordic walks. \nPoles are available to use free of charge. \n  \nLATE CANCELLATION POLICY: Sherwood Nordic Walking has a late cancellation policy whereby we require 24 hours’ notice for cancelling a training course. SUMMARY:Thoresby Park Beginner's Training 1/3
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to learn how to nordic walk? This 3-part course will teach you all you need to know to enjoy the International Nordic Walking (INWA) technique. \nSession 1 introduces you to the nordic walking poles and their features before moving on to learn the few basic steps of the INWA 10-step technique. We will cover posture\, pole position\, arm swing and forward propulsion. \nSession 2 will take place on Tuesday 21st March 1pm and Session 3 on Tuesday 28th March 1pm. You do not need to book these sessions separately. The payment for Session 1 is for all three sessions. \nPoles are available to use free of charge. \nYou will need to complete a PAR-Q health questionnaire prior to taking part.
