DESCRIPTION:Let’s enjoy a ‘hygge’ [Hooga] nordic walk in the RSPB’s Sherwood Forest. This not-so-fast session will enable us to appreciate our beautiful surroundings\, breathe in the pure air and immerse ourselves in nature. We will still be nordic walking at a fair pace but your Instructor will endeavour to keep the pace manageable whilst still getting a work out. \n\n\nMeeting at the RSPB visitor centre we will explore the ancient and wonderful Sherwood Forest\, home to 1\,000 ancient oak trees\, including the Major Oak. \n\n\nTo join this session you will have already completed nordic walking training. If you haven’t please get in touch\, or have a look at the training session dates at Thoresby Park. \n\n\nParking at the RSPB visitor carpark is across the road and is free for RSPB members (just place your membership card on. your dashboard). It’s a centre for a wide variety of outdoor activities from a relaxed stroll to Go Ape Tree Top Adventure and much\, much more. \nJoin Sherwood Nordic Walking as we guide you along the Ranger’s Path and other fabulous routes around the forest. DESCRIPTION:A great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping at the Welbeck farm shop\, the Harley gallery or the Dukeries garden centre! \nBeginning at The Dukeries (Notcutts) garden centre carpark. From the carpark we will begin by crossing over the main road. We will wind our way along a country lane and through open farmland until we reach the spectacular Creswell Crags. DESCRIPTION:Open to all nordic walkers. \nSherwood Pines is the largest forest open to the public in the East Midlands with over 3\,300 acres to discover. It’s a centre for wide variety of outdoor activities from a relaxed stroll to Go Ape Tree Top Adventure and much\, much more. \nJoin Sherwood Nordic Walking as we follow the Ranger’s Path around the woodlands\, or maybe a slightly different route if diversions are in place due to felling. The terrain is mostly firm with a slight gradients in places. \nPlease car share for this walk as parking at Sherwood Pines carpark is currently £6 for up to 2 hours \, £9 for 3 hours and £10 thereafter!
