This not-so-fast session will enable us to appreciate our beautiful surroundings\, breathe in the pure air and immerse ourselves in nature. We will still be nordic walking at a fair pace but your Instructor will endeavour to keep the pace manageable whilst still getting a work out. \n\n\nMeeting at the RSPB visitor centre we will explore the ancient and wonderful Sherwood Forest\, home to 1\,000 ancient oak trees\, including the Major Oak. \n\n\nTo join this session you will have already completed nordic walking training. DESCRIPTION:This is a longer route than our other nordic walks\, so a little bit of a challenge to kick start the week! And a great warm up for the Thoresby Leaf Kick! \nWe start this walk at the public car park near Kilton Golf course in Worksop\, also known as Bassetlaw Showground. DESCRIPTION:Would you like to learn how to nordic walk? This 3-part course will teach you all you need to know to enjoy the International Nordic Walking (INWA) technique. \nSession 1 introduces you to the nordic walking poles and their features before moving on to learn the few basic steps of the INWA 10-step technique. We will cover posture\, pole position\, arm swing and forward propulsion. \nSession 2 will take place on Wednesday 11th October 9.30am. You do not need to book these sessions separately. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Wednesday Walk Leader Adventures with Tricia. \n\n\nTricia will warm you all up before taking you on a steady 3.5 – 4.5 mile nordic walk around from Langold Country Park\, towards Firbeck or Letwell and into Dyscar Woods or maybe over to Hodsock. The choice is dependent on ground conditions. \n\n\nThere is a free carpark at the entrance that is off the A60 and signposted with a CAFE sign\, if we decide to meet at the larger carpark we will let you know. \n\n\nDistance: 3.5 – 4.5 miles \nLATE CANCELLATION POLICY: Sherwood Nordic Walking has a late cancellation policy whereby we require 24 hours’ notice for cancelling a walk.
