DESCRIPTION:Following on from the Beginner’s Training Session Part 1 we begin with a recap of steps 1-5. We will move onto the hill technique and foot dynamics before progressing onto steps 6-10 where we add speed and intensity into the technique. Using specific drills to emphasise the correct movements and posture\, we will ensure we are getting a workout from our walk. This week we are starting our adventure from the Clumber Park Hotel carpark before crossing over the road and heading towards Clumber Lake. \nWe have permission to park at the Clumber Hotel carpark. Parking is free. I don’t know yet whether the hotel will be open for facilities however there are facilities at the lake. \nLook out for my car tucked away in the corner. DESCRIPTION:Following on from the Beginner’s Training Session Part 1 we begin with a recap of steps 1-5. We will move onto the hill technique and foot dynamics before progressing onto steps 6-10 where we add speed and intensity into the technique. Using specific drills to emphasise the correct movements and posture\, we will ensure we are getting a workout from our walk. SUMMARY:*CANCELLED*Friday Adventure to Anston Stones Woods
DESCRIPTION:We start this walk at Anston Parish Hall in the village of Anston. This walk is shorter than our usual Adventures\, but has some challenging terrain. \nAnston Stones wood supports a variety of habitats\, including woodland\, the majority of which is also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)\, calcareous grassland\, scrub and wetland. The woodland is the second best example of limestone woodland in South Yorkshire. \nThe limestone grassland within the woods are also of botanical importance. There is also a Geological Trail with good examples of limestone gorges\, supporting a variety of rare plants and animals. \nDead Man’s cave is reached via the walkway to the gorge\, this cave excavated in the 1960’s revealed ancient flint tools from the ice age and animal bones from animals such reindeer and hyena. \nThis walk is currently very muddy so be prepared with spare shoes and gaiters if you have them! \nA table has been reserved at The Green Bean Coffee Shop and Bistro just up the road\, for anyone who would like lunch after the walk. \nDistance: 3 miles \nAscent \nLowest 233ft Highest 348ft \nTotal ascent 370ft \n  \nNote \nThere are some steep steps.

DESCRIPTION:Starting at our usual carpark at Langold Country Park\, we will venture through Dyscarr Woods and along fields to Firbeck. \nTerrain: uneven at times with slight gradient \nDistance: 4 – 5 miles \nCOVID-19 aware \nPlease let me know if you\, anyone in your household or anyone you have been in close contact with have developed symptoms that could be COVID-19 before you come on the walk so that I may cancel your place and issue your refund.  \nAlso please let me know if you test positive at any time after the walk so that I may provide participant details for Test and Trace purposes.
