DESCRIPTION:Beginning at Laughton-en-le-Morthen we will follow rolling hills\, peaceful woodland and finally arrive at the mysterious ruins of Roche Abbey. \nThere is a steep section into and out of the woods. \nThere is a delightful cafe nearby called Leger Lakes and it is on our way back to the carpark. DESCRIPTION:Let’s enjoy a fabulous nordic walk in the RSPB’s Sherwood Forest. During this session we will appreciate our beautiful surroundings\, breathe in the pure air and immerse ourselves in nature. We will still be nordic walking at a fair pace but your Instructor will endeavour to keep the pace manageable whilst still getting a work out. \n\n\nMeeting at the RSPB visitor centre we will explore the ancient and wonderful Sherwood Forest\, home to 1\,000 ancient oak trees\, including the Major Oak. \n\n\nTo join this session you will have already completed nordic walking training. If you haven’t please get in touch\, or have a look at the training session dates at Thoresby Park. \nPace: Steady – Moderate \n\n\nParking at the RSPB visitor carpark is across the road and is free for RSPB members (just place your membership card on. your dashboard). Otherwise it is £5. \nThere are free carparks available in the village of Edwinstowe. \n  \n\n10% from each ticket sold will be donated to the RSPB\, a registered charity in England and Wales\, number 207076\, and in Scotland\, number SC037654 \n  \nLATE CANCELLATION POLICY: Sherwood Nordic Walking has a late cancellation policy whereby we require 24 hours’ notice for cancelling a walk booking. No refunds can be issued however it may be possible to use the credit one time on a future session. DESCRIPTION:Keeping active is essential for people living with Parkinson’s. It can help you manage your symptoms and slow their progression. \nNordic Walking is an exercise that can help with this and provide other valuable benefits too. As an exercise it is both safe and sociable. \nThe class size is currently a maximum of 6 people\, plus any partner or support friend can come along for free. \n  \nClasses take place at Retford Cricket Club. \nCost £3. \nYou will need to complete a ParQ health questionnaire before you attend your first class. \n  \nThis class is partially funded by Parkinson’s UK. \nLATE CANCELLATION POLICY: Sherwood Nordic Walking has a late cancellation policy whereby we require 24 hours’ notice for cancelling a walk booking.
