Tuesday Technique courses and Workshops are at Thoresby Park.
The scenery at Thoresby Park is ever-changing with the seasons and no two sessions are the same.
Imitating the popular Monday and Friday Adventure walks, the Thursday Wellbeing walks are at a gentle pace and cover a shorter distance of 2-3 miles. These are perfect for newly trained nordic walkers, those with health concerns or those who haven’t been on a nordic walk for a while.
Tuesday afternoon Technique courses are based at Langold Country Park where we are lucky enough to have woodland tracks, a lakeside path and a spectacular view from the pit top!
Mondays and Fridays are our Adventure walks. Come and explore North Notts and South Yorkshire on our 4-5 miles Adventure walks. We visit Clumber Park, the Chesterfield canal, Idle Valley nature reserve and Creswell Crags, as well as planned routes across open countryside and woodland.
We also offer Gentle Adventure walks either on a Monday or a Friday depending on the route. These walks are the at the same time and are the same distance as the Adventure walks but at a gentle, slower pace and are lead by a qualified Walk Leader.
Tracy Hall is Lead Instructor at Sherwood Nordic Walking and has regular walks on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at various locations across the area including Thoresby Park, Clumber Park, Langold Country Park, Idle Valley Nature reserve and along the Chesterfield canal.
